Learning Resource Facilitator  

£14,650.58 - £15,712.46 per annum including London Weighting Allowance (pro rata of £24,965.00 - £27,018.00 per annum including London Weighting Allowance)

Part Time, Term Time Only

Start Date: September 2024

You will be supporting students and staff in our Learning Resources Centres 

Job Responsibilities 

  • To contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the Learning Resource Centres and to work as part of a team providing effective support for students and staff. 
  • To carry out counter duties, including using a computerised system to issue and discharge materials. 
  • To assist users in researching and retrieving information from the Learning Resource Centre’s paper-based and computerised resources. 
  • To promote the Learning Resources service to students and staff. 
  • Support students to behave in a manner which does not prevent other students from learning. 

Person Specification 

  • Good IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. 
  • Ability to communicate with students and staff, both orally and in writing. 
  • Ability to work under pressure, organise own work and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and relate to, and work cooperatively with other teams across the College

The post will be 21 hours per week, Monday – Friday, term time only. You will be required to work some evenings and occasional Saturdays.
